Sénas is a predominantly agricultural municipality in the fertile Durance plain. Extensive orchards and vegetable-growing areas surround the town and shape its landscape.

Nature
An 8.5 km-long path developed as a voie verte runs along the Durance between Sénas and Mallemort. The greenway between Sénas and Mallemort includes picnic and rest areas, viewpoints and a car park.
La Cabre et la Pécoule is a signposted walking trail in Sénas. La Cabre is a rocky outcrop of garrigue with a fitness trail for walkers. The Sainte-Marie des Méjeans chapel now stands in ruins on the hill; there is also a recently renovated lime kiln there.
A footpath has been created around the two lakes of Malespine.
Culture
Walkers can now discover rare but clearly recognisable remains of the former castle complex of Sénas.
The Church of Saint-Amand contains 19th-century frescoes. Its paintings, baptismal font, holy-water stoup and statues underwent careful restoration in 2009.
The “Roman bridge”, dated to 1812, crosses the Canal des Alpines.
Events in Sénas include the Fête votive de la Saint-Amand.
Getting Around
The Perrier-Redon cycling tour begins and ends at the Sénas Tourist Office. It passes through fruit-growing landscapes and offers views of the Luberon massif.
