History

Nature
The Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde area is largely wooded. The northern side of Sainte-Victoire is mainly accessible via the D10 departmental road, which connects Aix-en-Provence with Vauvenargues and passes through Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde.

Culture
The Tour de Keyrié, also known as the Tour de César, is located to the north. It was built in the 14th century and served to watch for the approach of raiders or fires.
The Oratoire de Saint Roch is believed to have been built in 1720 to seek this saint’s protection against the plague. It appears that the shaft of the Oratoire de Saint Roch came from the Roman mausoleum of the Julia family in Aix.
The Jardin des 5 sens et des formes premières offers guided tours for groups of at least 10 people on Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment. The “Soirées de Saint Marc” were launched in 2017; this festival focuses on concerts, singing and dancing, and welcomes an average of almost 500 spectators per concert.
