Culture and History
The Pont Bonaparte is a 16th-century bridge spanning the Huveaune River. The Musée René Verrier also preserves traces of the past: it displays Gallo-Roman remains, including a sarcophagus and a statue, as well as numerous everyday objects and tools collected over the years.
The Musée René Verrier can only be visited by appointment and is open on the Saturday of the European Heritage Days.
Another notable work is the façade of “La Maison de Celle qui peint” in Roquevaire. It is a work of public art; Danielle Jacqui transformed her home into a living museum of Art Brut. Individual visits to “La Maison de Celle qui peint” are possible by appointment.
Nature and Activities
A footpath along the banks of the Huveaune invites visitors to go for walks in Roquevaire and provides access to the area’s natural and historical heritage.
The 717-metre-high Tête de Roussargues is part of the Massif de Bassan, and hikers can enjoy magnificent views from there. For climbing, the Grand Vallon climbing site near Roquevaire is an important location in the Garlaban area. All difficulty levels are accessible, although the climbing sectors are widely separated.

The Festival de Théâtre à Lascours takes place annually in Lascours at the end of June or the beginning of July. The Festival de Roquevaire has been held every year since 1997 in September or October at the Saint-Vincent parish church.
