Eygalières is located entirely within the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles. From the elevated old village, the view stretches from east to west across Mont Ventoux, the Comtat plains, the Rhône Valley and the Cévennes.

Nature
The Arboretum de Badon contains around sixty trees and numerous shrubs representing the floristic diversity of the garrigue. A walk through the old village also reveals centuries-old houses with carved doors.
Trails
The Balade du Petit Calan begins and ends at the stadium car park in Eygalières and is marked as a GR® route. It is accessible by public transport: take the ZOU! 706 line to the “Général de Gaulle” stop.
La Routo: le Gros Calan is a moderately difficult, 10.1 km circular hike lasting around 3 hours. The route begins and ends at the car park at the intersection of D24 and D25 in south-western Eygalières and is signposted with GR® and PR markings. It leads to a viewpoint on the 446 m-high Crête des Civadières, with views of the Alpilles massif, the Petit Luberon and Mont Ventoux. Gros Calan consists of limestone formed around 160 million years ago in a shallow sea. The open habitats along the route serve as hunting grounds for the endangered Egyptian vulture.
Access to the natural areas is regulated by a prefectural order from 1 June to 30 September due to the risk of forest fires.
Culture
The Tour de l’Horloge was built between 1662 and 1672 from stones taken from the ruins of the old feudal castle. The Ancienne Église Saint-Laurent is a Romanesque church built at the beginning of the 12th century on the village’s northern fortification wall. The renovated Vieille Église Saint-Laurent serves as a venue for numerous artistic and cultural events.
The Musée Maurice Pezet is located in the restored 16th-century Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs. It displays objects excavated locally from the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods. Admission is free; guided tours are available on request.
The Chapelle Saint-Sixte is a 12th-century Romanesque chapel on a rocky outcrop about 2 km from the village of Eygalières. Its 17th-century features include the projecting portico, the hermitage and the enclosed garden. A footpath connects the old village with the Chapelle Saint-Sixte while avoiding the road. Every year in Eygalières, a “Roumavage” takes place on the Tuesday morning after Easter: a pilgrimage from the parish church to the chapel.
Local life
The Eygalières weekly market takes place on Friday mornings in the town centre. The Foire de la Sainte-Thérèse, held annually on the first Sunday in October, features participants in costume and demonstrations of traditional crafts.
