Cuges-Les-Pins: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Cuges-les-Pins is located in the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park. The Cuges-les-Pins polje is a wide depression with a flat floor and is considered one of the largest poljes in France or Europe. Prehistoric settlements have been discovered in this landscape, including the remains of a pile-dwelling settlement at the site of a large lake that has since dried up.
Nature
Historical traces are also part of the village landscape: Jas de Frédéric was restored as a shelter along the GR 98. The “Montagne Sainte-Baume” GR de Pays trail crosses the hills around Cuges-les-Pins and offers views of the polje, the surrounding reliefs and the sea.
Culture
The annual pilgrimage to Saint-Antoine de Padoue takes place on 13 June and the following Sunday. The annual Saint-Eloi festival takes place on the first Sunday in August and features decorated horses and couples in Provençal costumes.
