Culture and History
The Chapelle Saint-Michel was built in the second half of the 12th century and reflects the characteristics of rural Romanesque chapels in Provence. It served as a parish church until the 13th century, before being revived in the 17th century by the Confrérie des Pénitents Blancs d’Avignon.
Le lavoir is a former covered washhouse that was restored in 1996. It is considered one of the rare so-called standing washhouses, where women washed clothes standing up. At the Pont de la République, part of the Agoutadou can be seen, an irrigation canal created by the Templars in the 14th century.
