Alleins: holiday apartments and holiday homes
In Alleins, there is the cultural trail “Alleins au fil du temps”. Along the Route du Calvaire, there are 14 stone stations symbolising the Stations of the Cross. Some numbered stations along the trail are fitted with enamelled lava stone plaques; they explain the history of the respective place in French and English.
Culture
The Château d’Alleins features remarkable remains and was the residence of the Renaud family from the late 15th century until the French Revolution. The Chapelle des Pénitents blancs has a late-17th-century façade.

Nature
Footpaths lead from the Petit Sonnailler plain to the ruins of the Chapelle Saint-Georges. The long-distance hiking trail GR 6 connects Salon nord (Roquerousse) with Alleins via Vernègues-le-Vieux and runs in the immediate vicinity of the chapel.
The Chapelle Saint-Georges lies at the centre of a protected natural area within the Natura 2000 network; potentially protected species such as the Egyptian vulture may be observed there. The chapel was built in the 12th century and restored following archaeological excavations in 1986. In the municipal area of Alleins, there is a partially ruined, open chapel characteristic of Provençal early Romanesque architecture. Restoration in 2017 made it possible for the chapel to be rediscovered and enhanced.
Paths and access
The Route du Calvaire leads down to the village in gentle, successive hairpin bends and is freely accessible on foot, by bicycle or by car. Alleins can be reached by car via the nearby A7 motorway and exit 26 at Sénas.
The Château d’Alleins can be reached on foot after leaving the car in one of the village car parks. The Chapelle des Pénitents blancs is privately owned; visitors must contact the White Penitents to gain access.
