Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Sébastien stands at the southern entrance to the village. It was built in the 15th century as protection against plague epidemics and was listed as a historic monument in 1914. Its frescoes were created around 1485–1490 by the Piedmontese masters Giovanni Baleison and Giovanni Canavesio.

The Musée des Traditions Stephanoises illustrates life in Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée in the past. Individual guided tours are available on request. The Couvent des Trinitaires was founded in the 17th century.
