Nature and landscape
Rigaud lies at an altitude of 753 metres on a rocky spur and offers a wide panorama over the lower Cians Valley. The municipality’s landscape is very mountainous and crossed by gorges; its central part is occupied by the Plateau de Dina.
At 1,906 metres, Tête de Rigaud is the highest point in the municipality. The Plateau de Dina covers around 1,000 hectares and is jointly used by the municipalities of Rigaud and Puget-Rostang.

History and culture
From 1251, Rigaud was home to the region’s most important commandery dedicated to Saint-Sauveur. The foundations and the cistern of the former commandery can be seen at the summit of the village.
The Church of Saint-Antoine et de la Transfiguration began in 1200 as a chapel dedicated to San Salvadour. The church also houses a silver processional cross dating from 1519.
The Saint-Marc Chapel in the Rubi district was recently restored and now houses the altarpiece of the same name.
Le Moulin à Huile dates from the 17th century and was operated using the pulling power of a donkey. The oil mill has been restored and can be visited on request.
The Fontaine Lavoir on the village square was donated in 1898 by the Member of Parliament Raphaël Bischoffsheim.
Le Four Communal was rediscovered in the 1980s and restored to its original condition by the municipality.
La Maison du Patrimoine, also known as Maison du Miel, features a permanent exhibition with numerous beehives and equipment for beekeeping and honey production.
