Landscape
Peymeinade lies at the foot of the Alps in an area characterized by olive trees and flower fields. Until the middle of the 20th century, the town was predominantly rural; farmers cultivated jasmine, roses, violets and tuberoses for the perfume factories of Grasse.

Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Marc was built by the residents around 1760 and dedicated to Saint Mark, the patron saint of grapevines and wheat. Its murals depict rural scenes, including the wheat harvest, grapevines, a flute player and a farandole.
The Église Saint-Roch is dedicated to Saint Roch, the patron saint against the plague that afflicted the region in the 14th century. The present-day Église Saint-Roch replaced an earlier chapel on the same site. Peymeinade celebrates Saint Roch every year during the first days of August.
The old village of Peymeinade groups old houses around an 18th-century church and a round 19th-century fountain with lion heads. On Place Gervais Court, there is a washhouse and a small fountain that were among the village’s first water-supply facilities in 1873; the washhouse was restored and covered in 1938. The square in the old village features a fountain with four lion heads and a trompe-l’œil façade. The “train des Pignes” mural is located on the façade of Peymeinade’s Bureau d’Information Municipal.
