Le Tignet: Holiday apartments and houses

Geographical location

The Siagne separates Le Tignet from the Var department. From the Placette du vieux village, the view stretches from Lac de Saint-Cassien to Grasse.

Culture

The Villa Le Pas de Pique is protected in its entirety as a historic monument, including the house, the access bridge and cadastral parcel A 3469. It was listed by decree dated 11 September 2006. The villa was built in 1961–1962 by the architect Marcel Lods for his own use; it is considered one of the defining examples of industrial metal architecture.

Le Castellaras is a medieval castle ruin above the road to Saint-Cézaire, on the municipal boundary. Traces of a castle and a place of worship can still be seen in the San-Peyre area.

Nature and activities

The “Balade dans le Val de Siagne” hike follows the left bank of the Siagne along the former rural road from Saint-Cassien. The TCAP association organises the 13th edition of the “Traï dou Roucassiero”, a trail run in a natural setting with self-sufficiency.

Events

The Forum des Associations has taken place every September in Le Tignet since 2014; the diverse stands are open to the public. The annual Christmas market, “Marché de Noël – Le Tignet”, features almost 40 stalls with gift ideas and culinary offerings in and around the Salle des fêtes in Le Tignet. The Christmas market includes free entertainment, games and opportunities to meet Père Noël.

Local produce

Jean-Louis Lautard Apiculteur in Le Tignet offers tastings and direct sales on site and produces single-variety honeys as well as honeys from typical habitats such as maquis, garrigue, the pre-Alps, mountains and forests.
