Le Cros-D'utelle: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Access is via the road to Le Cros-d'Utelle, 4 kilometres beyond Plan-du-Var. The ascent leads through a chestnut forest marked with red-and-white GR5 trail markers. The GR5 passes through Le Cros-d'Utelle and connects Nice with the Netherlands.

The route through the Gorges de la Vésubie follows a wide path, whose paving is still preserved in some sections.

Landscape

The Chapelle Saint-Antoine is a viewpoint on the left bank of the Vésubie. The church of Le Cros-d'Utelle is surrounded by well-maintained olive groves. In autumn, chestnuts and mushrooms can be collected along the hike.

Culture

The church “La Trinité” (église La Trinité – Cros d’Utelle) is located in Le Cros-d'Utelle. The Madone d’Utelle sanctuary is a place of worship and was founded in the year 850.

The Madone d’Utelle can be reached via the Vésubie road RM 2565 to the turn-off for Cros d’Utelle, and then via a winding road to the hamlet of La Villette.

Water

The Vésubie P5 kayaking route runs from Le Cros-d'Utelle to its confluence with the Var.
