Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Roch in La Sirole was built in the 19th century at the request of the residents of the neighborhood. It features frescoes and a stained-glass window signed by Jackie Decroix. The Notre-Dame de la Nativité church was completed in 1830 and features neoclassical architecture.

The Château de Valrose palace, the Musée et Site Archéologiques de Nice-Cimiez museum, the Musée de la Curiosité et de l'Insolite museum and the Villa Les Palmiers palace are located in the vicinity of Colomars.

History

The restored communal Four à pain in La Sirole preserves the village's traditional breadmaking craft and allows visitors to learn about historical uses and the way of life in earlier times.

The Rigole d'eau n° 2 diversion channel of the Canal de la Vésubie once supplied Colomars with water.

Cuisine

The Oliveraie de la Sirole in Colomars welcomes visitors; André Giauffret works there as an olive grower, owner and producer of olive paste and olive oil.
