Culture and history
One of the notable buildings in Châteauneuf-Villevieille is Castel Nuovo, a historic fortified complex that was classified as a heritage monument in 1939. It includes towers, defensive walls, fortified gates and dovecotes, which are being restored by volunteers under professional guidance.

The Eglise Sainte-Marie is considered a remarkable example of pre-Romanesque art; its façade has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1928. Nature and hiking
The Crête du mont Macaron is an easy 6.9-kilometre hike from the Col de Châteauneuf that takes around three hours. The route offers views of the Paillon Valley of Contes, the Estéron, Haute Tinée and Haute Vésubie valleys, the Nice metropolitan area and the Baie des Anges.
The Col de Châteauneuf can be reached from the Nice-Est motorway junction on the A 8 via two routes: either via Saint-André-de-la-Roche and Tourrette-Levens on the RM 19 and 815, or via Contes and Châteauneuf-Villevieille along the Pénétrante du Paillon and via the RD 15 and 815.

In the area around Châteauneuf-Villevieille are Mont Férion, a peak, Cime de la Blachière, a mountain, as well as Plage Petite Afrique and Plage des Fourmis, each a beach. Cascade Rémaurian forms the boundary between the municipalities of Châteauneuf-Villevieille and Bendejun.
