Nature
A hike to the Cime de l'Aspre begins in Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes. The circular route takes around seven hours and includes 1,200 metres of ascent and descent respectively. The remains of an old observatory can be found on the Cime de l'Aspre.
At Collet de Sen, a biotope protection order protects birds of prey and enables them to be observed. An exploratory hike leads around the Moulin de la Barlatte and the village of Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes.
Cycling
The route to Hameau des Tourres is a moderately difficult mountain biking tour starting from Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes. The circular route is 14 kilometres long and takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Hameau des Tourres preserves the original construction typical of the rural architecture of the upper Var Valley, with stone walls made of lime mortar and roofs made of larch shingles.
Culture
The Église Saint-Nicolas is home in particular to the altarpiece “Christ aux Cinq Plaies” by François Bréa, dating from around 1555. The church also has a Baroque interior, a single-nave layout and two side chapels.
The Moulin de la Barlatte is one of the last still-functioning alpine mills. The Fête du moulin takes place at the mill every year in June. In July and August, weekly tours are offered there, organised by the municipality and supervised by a mountain guide.
The Chapelle Saint-Antoine is located at the foot of Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes, at a crossroads of former mule tracks.
Local
The Ferme de la Barlatte welcomes families and other interested visitors for farm tours by prior arrangement. From February to September, the Ferme de la Barlatte produces fresh and matured Lactic cheeses, Tommes and yoghurt.
Geographical location
The road connection from Guillaumes to Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes runs via the RD 74. Le Carré du Mercantour is a gîte accommodation in Châteauneuf-d'Entraunes on the GR 52A, at the gates of the Parc National du Mercantour.
