Nature
The Cime de la Bercha offers extensive views of the Mercantour National Park. The route there passes through larch forests with a great botanical diversity. The hike to the Cime de la Bercha takes four hours there and back and has an elevation gain/loss of plus or minus 628 metres.
Les Balcons d’Auron is a 2.5-kilometre circular route with ten interpretation stations. The Les Balcons d’Auron viewpoint can be reached via the Puy d’Auron.
Culture
The Chapelle Saint Erige was built in the 13th century or the first half of the 14th century and has been a pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages.
Guided tours of the Chapelle Saint Erige are offered on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 4:30 p.m. from 5 July to 26 August 2026. Registration is handled by the Office de Tourisme d’Auron, the contribution is voluntary, and the meeting point is at the chapel. Outside the season, visits can be arranged on request through the tourist office.
Further Activities
The Auron Mountain Golf course on the Plateau de Chastellarès has a compact nine-hole course with free access. The Auron Boot Camp is an obstacle course in the forest.
