Rougon: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Sentier Blanc-Martel is a 15 km one-way hike between the Chalet de la Maline in La Palud-sur-Verdon and Point Sublime in Rougon. The trail follows the course of the Verdon and includes sections with stairs and tunnels. The GR®4 crosses the municipality of Rougon via the Sentier Blanc-Martel.

Nature
The GR®49 crosses the municipality of Rougon via the Pont du Tusset and ends at Point Sublime. The Sentier des vautours begins at the Carajuan campsite and allows visitors to observe griffon vultures and other birds of prey in their natural habitat.
The vulture observation point is located near the viewpoint at the Mur d'Abeilles, opposite the vultures' acclimatization enclosure.
Landscape
Point Sublime is a viewpoint on the right bank of the Gorges du Verdon below the village of Rougon. From there, the view extends to the entrance of the Grand Canyon, characterized by the narrow Couloir Samson. Below, the greenish Verdon and the facing Paroi du Duc and Falaises de l’Escalès, rising to almost 400 m, can be seen.
A short walk of around 10 minutes leads from the Point Sublime car park to the viewpoint.
Culture and History
The medieval quarter of Rougon, now largely in ruins, preserves remarkable architectural features such as round-arched door and window frames and rounded rusticated blocks at the corners of buildings, probably originating from the former castle.
The Rougon culture and heritage trail takes around one hour. It begins at a car park, leads through the village streets and ends on the opposite side of the village.
The year 1886 is engraved on the south side of the washhouse in Rougon; it probably marks the completion of the construction work.
Climbing
Rougon serves as a base for climbing in the Gorges du Verdon; most climbing areas on the right bank of the gorge are no more than 10 minutes away.
