Gréoux-Les-Bains: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture and history

In the forecourt of the Château des Templiers, a permanent open-air exhibition with 13 explanatory panels invites visitors to learn about the castle’s significance for the local cultural heritage; admission is free. The medieval fortress known as the “Château des Templiers” is believed to have had its first stones laid in the 12th century.

Today’s Chapelle Saint-Sébastien dates partly from the 18th century and was extended from an older building, whose choir has been preserved. The Romanesque church of Notre-Dame des Ormeaux houses the reliquary bust of Saint Sebastian.

Nature and activities

Gréoux-les-Bains is located in the Verdon Regional Park. From March to November, the Compagnie des Grands Espaces offers several guided hikes and themed excursions every week. Provence Verdon VTT comprises 52 signposted routes totalling more than 1,100 kilometres, ranging from family-friendly tours to sporty courses.

The playful Randoland trail in Gréoux-les-Bains invites visitors to carefully discover the town’s historical and natural heritage by completing a task set by Inspector Rando.

Local highlights

During tours of the Moulin à huile de Gréoux, visitors learn about modern olive-oil production, different olive varieties and qualities, and the history of olive growing in Gréoux. An event at the Moulin à huile de Gréoux included a Thursday-afternoon tour of the oil mill with a tasting of local products.
