Landscape and trails
The Route Napoléon à Cheval begins in Castellane and is an 18-kilometre, five-hour horse-riding route. From Castellane, it follows the banks of the Verdon and passes through the heart of the Réserve naturelle géologique de Haute-Provence.
The lake tour is a 23.5-kilometre circular cycling route starting and ending at the Castellane tourist office.

Culture and history
The Citroën Museum displays more than 120 original Citroën vehicles in exceptionally good original condition, with very low mileage, dating from 1938 to 1998. The original building of the Prieuré et église paroissiale Saint-Victor is believed to date from the first half of the 13th century.
Petra Castellana consists of medieval ruins accessible via an interpretation trail. The Tour Pentagonale dates from 1359 and is part of the former fortifications of Castellane, which comprised 14 towers.

Museums and the town centre
The Maison Nature & Patrimoines is located in the centre of the village of Castellane. It provides information from the Parc du Verdon, a shop, and events and activities held throughout the year.
The permanent exhibition „Sirènes et fossiles“ at the Maison Nature & Patrimoines explores the period when manatees and dugongs lived in the sea that covered the region.
The Musée de la Résistance offers self-guided visits at any time, as well as individual guided tours on request. It displays numerous objects, documents and authentic photographs, some of which are extremely rare, along with life-size reconstructions of scenes from life in the underground resistance and the Maquis.
Water and local produce
Near Castellane, Lac de Castillon is close to the town centre. Near Castellane, the lake has developed beaches and supervised bathing areas.
The Maison de Produits de Pays des Gorges du Verdon is a permanently open covered market with an area for local produce and promoting the region.
