Every year in August, Barcelonnette hosts the Fêtes latino mexicaines. The festival comprises ten days of festivities in the city’s streets, featuring mariachi music, dancers in colourful costumes and an exploration of Aztec culture. The guided tour “Les villas de Barcelonnette et les tombes monumentales du cimetière” includes an outdoor tour of villas in Barcelonnette influenced by Art Deco and Art Nouveau, as well as a visit to the cemetery’s monumental tombs.

Nature and Trails
The Promenade du Verger begins in the pedestrian zone, passes the villas of Barcelonnette, including the Musée de la Sapinière, and reaches a viewpoint overlooking the valley.

Getting There
Regular ZOU! bus services connect Barcelonnette with numerous cities, including Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. Those arriving by train or TGV can use Marseille Saint-Charles, Aix-en-Provence TGV or Gap as their arrival station and then continue by rental car or regional express bus.
