Lac d’Allos is a glacial lake at an altitude of 2,228 metres in the heart of Mercantour National Park and the largest natural high-altitude lake in Europe.

Culture
The village of Allos was formerly fortified. In the 16th century, Allos was referred to as the “land of the thirty-two chapels.”
