The Château d'Allemagne-en-Provence is classified as a historic monument; its main construction phases date from the last quarter of the 14th century and the 16th century.
The battlement-crowned keep of the Château d'Allemagne-en-Provence dates from the 12th century. Five defensive towers flank it and are connected by a curtain wall; in the Middle Ages, the complex was surrounded by moats. From 1495, François de Castellane added an elegant Renaissance wing.
I am planning to rent a holiday apartment in Allemagne-en-Provence.

Culture and History
The parish church of Saint-Marc stands on the Vaugiscle promontory and overlooks the village; its bell tower contains a bell dating from 1666.
The present building of the parish church of Saint-Marc was constructed no earlier than 1550. The northern nave is Romanesque, while its tower and choir date from the 13th century.
The Chapelle Saint-Marc is an 11th-century Romanesque chapel. Its eastern section and the belfry wall rising above it form a rare Romanesque architectural ensemble.
From 1722 onward, faience workshops were established in Allemagne-en-Provence; they continued to operate until the 19th century and took their decorative designs and colours from those used in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
A Roman secondary road ran through the area of Allemagne-en-Provence.
The parish church of Saint-Marc contains two paintings: a painting of the Rosary with the fifteen Mysteries of the Virgin Mary from the 17th century, and an Annunciation in the pre-17th-century style. The tabernacle partly dates from the 15th century.
The Chapelle Saint-Marc is known for a traditional pilgrimage held on the feast day of its patron saint.
