Culture
The Château et église Notre-Dame ensemble includes a Romanesque keep that was rebuilt in the 14th century. The Donjon de Moncontour is a former fortress built around 1040 by Foulques Nerra. Remains of the castle and church from the 13th and 14th centuries, with painted furnishings from the same period, are located around the keep. The Donjon de Moncontour has a roof reconstructed as part of the restoration and a staircase integrated into the thickness of the walls. The summit of the Donjon de Moncontour offers a panoramic view.
In Ouzilly-Vignolles there are earthen houses that probably date back to the 12th century and were built using the so-called rammed-earth construction method (bauge). The Logis Terra-villa can be visited by appointment as part of a self-guided or guided visit.
