La Roche-Posay: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

History and Culture

The keep is the only surviving part of the château and is 25 metres high. A video mapping is projected onto the vaulted ceiling of the Hall of Echoes inside the keep. The exhibition on the ground floor of the keep focuses on a local craftsperson.

The Porte Bourbon is the only surviving main entrance dating from the 12th century. For many years, it was the most important urban passage between southern Touraine and La Roche-Posay.

Espace Mose is a municipal gallery managed by the VIBRATION association, with free admission. Every year, it presents a wide variety of artists.

The Casino de La Roche-Posay combines a gaming room, a bar, a restaurant and a concert hall. It continues the architectural structure of the Château de Posay, which was inaugurated in 1932.

The Pavillon des Sources offers an interactive trail on the history of the thermal spa company and the cosmetics brand, featuring posters, video archives and historic objects.

Nature

The 18-hole Golf La Roche-Posay course is located in a 45-hectare biodiversity area and is presented as environmentally responsible. Golf de La Roche-Posay is an 18-hole course designed by Jean Garaialde, measuring 5,839 metres with a par of 72, on wooded, gently undulating terrain.

Parc des Confluences on the Creuse offers canoe hire, a boules court, permanent and changing games, a relaxation area and a picnic area.

Walks and Other Activities

The Boucle Bordeaux is a 5-kilometre hiking trail in the centre of La Roche-Posay. It passes through nature and along the peaceful banks of the Creuse before ending in the medieval town.

Tèrra Aventura: “Un bain d'eau de velours” offers a 3-kilometre walk in La Roche-Posay. The activity is self-guided and designed for hiking and geocaching.

The Hippodrome de la Gâtinière hosts several racing events during the season in a green setting.

Spa Source La Roche-Posay features a heated thermal-water pool, a hammam, indoor and outdoor saunas, a sensory shower and a heated hot tub. The spa offers targeted programmes for skin health and well-being in a natural setting.

Events

The seasonal Marchés de Pays take place as part of the 2026 summer programme every Thursday from 18 June to 10 September, from 6 p.m., at Place de la République in La Roche-Posay. They bring together local producers, craftspeople, individually assembled meals and weekly entertainment.
