Culture
The fief of the Château de Chambes was first mentioned in 1444. The present château was rebuilt in the 16th century on the site of an older building.
The Château de Chambes in Roumazières-Loubert is a manor house known as a logis, dating from the 13th century, whose construction was completed in the 16th century. The complex includes a rectangular main building, two towers from the original structure, an outer enclosure and outbuildings.

Getting Around
Boucle 46 starts at the Roumazières-Loubert skate park. It offers a 7 km family loop, a 21 km discovery loop and a 33 km exploration loop.
The EuroVelo 3 passes through the municipality via Loubert, the vélorail station and the centre of Roumazières.
The GR 78 also crosses the municipality. It leads to Les Prés de Peyras, continues to Pont Sigoulant and runs along the bridge area of Pont de la Richerie beside the vélorail route.
The Le Grand Verger equestrian centre offers riding lessons, courses and trail rides for ages six and over.
Local Life
The Terra Aventura route in Roumazières-Loubert is a 1.5 km geocaching course. It focuses on the architecture typical of the Cité de l’Argile and its craft skills.

A market is held every Sunday on Place du Marché, on Avenue de la Gare in Roumazières-Loubert. Regional producers offer their products there for local shopping.

Events
The Château de Peyras, now privately owned, offers numerous events during the season. These include costumed historical re-enactments about the place and medieval everyday life, markets, theatre performances and art exhibitions.
The Château de Chambes was scheduled to be open to visitors from 1 July to 31 August 2026: Mondays to Fridays except public holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visits were to be free of charge and start every 30 minutes.
