The Church of Saint-Cybard is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. Its floor plan is shaped like a Greek cross with four arms of equal length. It was classified as a historic monument by decree dated September 21, 1907.
Magnac-sur-Touvre is home to the Renaissance manor house of Maumont. The manor was built on the ruins of an older structure; a surviving tower from this older structure served as Magnac-sur-Touvre’s first town hall.

La Plaine de Jeu is a green space in Magnac-sur-Touvre intended for recreation and discovering the river. La Maillerie is an area on the banks of the Touvre at the point where Touvre, Magnac-sur-Touvre, and Ruelle-sur-Touvre meet.
Local life
A weekly market takes place every Wednesday morning on Place de la Mairie.
Along the Touvre, private riparian owners may allow or prohibit fishing on the stretches of river they own. They are not required to provide passage along the banks.
The AAPPMA “La Truite saumonée” has created an access guide for fishing spots along the Touvre. The guide divides the river into seven zones and uses public access points and the safety of the route as its guiding principles. The “La Truite saumonée” association also carries out measures to develop recreational fishing and holds and manages fishing rights.
