Nature

The outflow of the Gouffre forms the Ri de Gensac. The watercourse is three kilometres long and does not cross the municipal boundaries. In 1933 and 1934, the Gouffre de Gensac was listed among the classified landscape and natural sites of the Charente département.

The Marais de Gensac-la-Pallue is the largest marshland in the Charente département. It consists mainly of the priority habitat known as cladia.

Culture

The Château de Gademoulin was rebuilt from 1815 onwards according to plans by the architect Louis-Charles Geay in the neo-Gothic style. The Église Saint-Martin is a parish church dating from the late 12th century. Its Romanesque architecture extends over three levels and is crowned by four small turrets.

The Logis de l'Eclopart was built around 1640 and was an outbuilding of the Roissac seigneurial estate. Its façades and roofs were listed as a historic monument by decree of 31 December 1986. The Fontaine et lavoir des Martinauds date from before 1850.
