The Sentier de Bellevue begins at the church in Chenommet and is a 7 km hiking trail with a walking time of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. After leaving the village, it follows the Charente River; at the hamlet of Bellevue, it offers a panorama of the Charente Valley.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Pierre was restored in 1872–1873. It has a stone holy-water font from the 14th century, which is classified as a historic monument. The church was a priory dependent on the abbey of the same name in Cellefrouin.

The Dolmen de la Pierre Folle is a monument consisting of an irregularly shaped cairn containing a dolmen; the monument is currently densely overgrown and in a severely deteriorated condition.

La Pierre Folle is a tumulus located in the middle of a field. According to a local legend, the stone danced there on some evenings when the church bell of Couture rang.
