Nature
The Coran Valley is an 11-kilometre-long, green valley carved into a limestone plateau. It is designated both as a ZNIEFF and as a European Natura 2000 site. The Coran Valley is home to rare and protected animal and plant species.

Prehistory and Culture
Archaeological excavations in Saint-Césaire uncovered the remains of a young Neanderthal woman in 1979; she was given the nickname Pierrette. The Paléosite is Europe's first centre dedicated to communicating prehistoric history. With its scenography area “L'incroyable expédition”, it offers an interactive prehistoric experience in which visitors take on the role of aspiring archaeologists.
The Église Saint-Cézaire underwent its main construction phase in the 12th century and has been classified as a historic monument by decree since 4 September 1913.
The Musée des Bujoliers highlights the Charentais dialect and dedicates a separate exhibition element to the play “La Mérine à Nastasie”. It documents the local potters, who were known as Bujoliers; their 200-year production activity came to an end at the beginning of the 20th century. The museum also presents the Saintonge through collections from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Activities
The “La Vallée du Coran” cycling route is connected to the Flow Vélo and passes through the natural and wooded landscapes of the Coran Valley. The Pisciculture de Saint-Césaire offers the opportunity to go fishing every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Les Ânes de la Rêverie offers two-hour excursions, half-day and full-day hikes, as well as multi-day hiking routes with donkeys near the Paléosite in Saint-Césaire.
