Migron: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Église Saint-Nazaire has a single-nave structure with five bays: four date from the 12th century, while one was renovated in the 16th century. Its façade features a simple portal with three archivolts. Since 21 January 1907, the church has been classified as a historic monument by decree.

Culture and History

Château-Couvert also bears witness to several construction phases. The château was built during the Renaissance, while the central residential wing was added at the end of the 17th century. Château-Couvert is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments; however, only the exterior areas and façades are classified. In summer, the château was open for exterior visits from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in July and August.

The Ecomusée du Cognac comprises an amphitheatre, a winegrowers' museum, a distillery and an aroma cellar. There, a sensory experience lasting at least two hours ends with a tasting on the terrace or on the mirador overlooking a sea of vineyards.

The Via Migron circular trail – circuit 1 starts at the Église Saint-Nazaire de Migron. Its monumental portal unusually opens in the south wall of the nave. The trail also leads to an old bread oven in La Tâche.
