Culture
In Avy, a side chapel adjoins the Gothic choir of the Église Notre-Dame. It was rebuilt in the 14th century over a former ossuary and is decorated with murals. The Église Notre-Dame was classified as a historic monument by decree of 4 September 1902.
The Château de Pernan in Avy dates back to the 16th century, probably during the reign of François I. The Seigneurie of Château de Pernan was established in 1520; the descendants of Charles de La Cour had the main residence built around 1549. The residence retains Renaissance elements, including a spiral staircase in a polygonal tower.
