Culture

The Church of Saint-Clair has a short single-nave body with an entrance porch in front, an elongated choir with three bays, and a bell tower on the south side of the choir. The oldest part of the church dates from the 12th century and comprises the choir’s first two bays. The choir’s final bay was added around 1300, while the vault was remodeled in the 16th century.

Next to the church stands an old stately manor house in Tourly dating from the 13th and 14th centuries. Together with the Church of Saint-Clair, it forms an especially picturesque ensemble. The church stands on the edge of the Vexin plateau.

The 54 km circular cycling route “Les jolis villages du Vexin” passes through Tourly. The route takes 4 hours and 30 minutes.
