Culture
The Église Sainte-Maxence was built in the 15th century and was classified as a historic monument by decree of 23 May 1921. Today, the restored church serves people who wish to pray there. The surviving remains of the Perronet Bridge are also classified as a historic monument.
Pont-Sainte-Maxence Town Hall was built in 1929 in the Art Deco style. In Sarron is Saint-Lucien, a Romanesque church built in the second half of the 11th century. The historical interpretation trail along the right bank of the Oise in Pont-Sainte-Maxence comprises six stations with information panels about the Oise and the town’s industrial heritage.

The cycling tour “À la découverte de Pont-Sainte-Maxence” heads towards the locks, passes the Saint-Lucien church in Sarron and continues towards the hamlet of Plessis Villette. It also runs near the Marais de Sacy, an ecosystem with great biological diversity.
For the “Ricochets, de pont en pont” route, the free “Louison Pignon” app can be downloaded. The playful puzzle trail “Ricochets, de pont en pont” is 5.5 km long, can be completed on foot or by bicycle, and allows visitors to discover several notable places in the Pays d’Oise et d’Halatte in an original way.
