Cuts is located on the ancient Roman Voie Brunehaut, which connects Amiens with Reims and itself forms a section of the Milan–Boulogne road. The desire to rent a holiday apartment in Cuts is part of personal travel planning.
History
A Gallo-Roman settlement in Cuts has not been documented; however, numerous remains such as pottery, lime kilns and cellars suggest that the area was in fact settled at the beginning of the Common Era along the Noyon–Soissons road.
The national necropolis of Cuts preserves the remains of soldiers who died for France in the various battles in the Oise département between 1914 and 1918. It was established in 1920 and 1922 to bring together the remains of other soldiers exhumed from various temporary cemeteries in the Oise département.
At the entrance to Cuts, the Calvaire de la Pommeraye commemorates the battles of 1914 and the destruction of 1917. Part of the choir of the 13th-century church of Cuts has survived to this day; the foundations of the nave date from the 16th century.
Surrounded by moats and a large park, the Château de Cuts was damaged during the offensive of 17 September 1914, set on fire in 1917 and almost completely rebuilt in 1926. Formerly known as “CUS”, it belonged to the former seigneury of the Barony of Coucy at the beginning of the 13th century and was rebuilt in 1636.
The architectural heritage of Cuts is characterised by high-quality natural-stone buildings and stepped gables that herald the Soissonnais; the vast majority of the houses and farms date from the first third of the 19th century.

The Pierre Ramus walking circuit runs through the municipality of Cuts and leads to various places of interest, such as the château, the woods, the Calvaire de la Pommeraye and old houses.
Since 2014, the French national necropolis of Cuts has been integrated into the Parcours des Zouaves established by the Musée Territoire 14-18 in the territory of the municipalities of Cuts, Moulin-sous-Touvent and Carlepont; the video-guided route is available in French and English. Inaugurated in 2015, the Parcours des Zouaves is a video-guided tour with two walking routes in Carlepont and Cuts that explores the history of soldiers from the colonies during the First World War. It is complemented by explanatory panels, information points in the municipalities and a free mobile application.

Cuts has a predominantly rural landscape; most of the municipal territory consists of forests, meadows and agricultural land.
