The Église Saint-Martin in Cires-lès-Mello was classified as a historic monument by decree of 20 October 1906. Its oldest parts date from 1183; the church also features important construction phases from the 12th, 13th and 15th centuries.

The Pavillon du Tillet is a half-timbered building in the Gothic Revival and Neo-Renaissance styles, with richly carved decoration. The building is a fragment of the 1900 World's Fair that was rebuilt in Cires-lès-Mello. Its façades and roofs were registered as historic monuments by decree of 19 September 2008.

Other historic architectural remains include the ruins of the Grange aux dîmes, a 13th-century barn. They were registered as a historic monument by decree of 3 April 1926. The Chapelle du Tillet has a pointed-arch portal, a round-arched window and a small bell arcade on its steep gable.

Trails and landscape

The Le Tillet hiking trail is a 6.7 km walking route in the “Woods and forests” category, for which a walking time of 1 hour 45 minutes is specified. In the hamlet of Le Tillet, the trail makes it possible to discover old buildings, including the Pavillon du Tillet. The specified starting point is on Rue du Bosquet Caron in the hamlet of Le Tillet.

The Sur les hauteurs de Cires hiking route has a specified walking time of 1 hour 45 minutes and leads through fields. Le Bois de Mello is considered a walk through woodland.

Getting there

The Gare de Cires-lès-Mello railway station is located 300 metres from the town centre. It has five covered bicycle shelters with bike racks.
