Béthisy-Saint-Martin reveals its special character where natural surroundings and local history become visible in specific places. La Sablonnière, also known as L’Ourlet de Béthisy-Saint-Martin, is a 0.41-hectare municipal area of limestone grassland with a remarkable natural heritage.

Nature
La Sablonnière was formerly a sports ground and was returned to nature. Today, the site is rich in fauna and flora. La Sablonnière can be reached via Rue Saint-Lazare and the path at house number 325. A 3 km hike is specified for the visit.
Culture
The Château de la Mothe has major construction phases dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. Its façades and roofs have been partially protected as historic monuments since 16 December 1986. The Château de la Mothe is privately owned.
The church of Saint-Martin in Béthisy-Saint-Martin was built around 1140 and has been classified as a historic monument since 1931. Its façade features an early-13th-century portal with small columns and mouldings. The portal is preceded by a porch supported by two massive columns.
The Chaussée Brunehaut passes through Béthisy-Saint-Martin, an ancient Roman road that connected Senlis with Soissons and has now been converted into a cycle path.
Activities
The Jeu d’arc of Béthisy-Saint-Martin dates from 1863. Every year, field archery at the Jeu d’arc attracts numerous archers to Béthisy-Saint-Martin. The River Automne also flows through the municipality; first-category fishing is possible there.
