Nature
Vix is home to the ÃŽle de Charrouin, which is considered the last remaining trace of traditional wetlands there. It comprises canals, ditches, wooded areas and floodable meadows. The flora, fauna and landscapes of the ÃŽle de Charrouin are protected; the western part can be accessed via footpaths and a viewing point for observation.

Culture and History
The Romanesque apse of the former church of Vix dates from the 12th century and is still preserved. During the inventory of Vix's cultural heritage carried out in 2019–2020, 550 elements were recorded. The data, illustrated with 2,000 images, is available in the municipal library and online.
Events
The annual summer festival Les Arts par Nature is held at the Théâtre de Verdure de Vix. From mid-July to mid-August, the festival offers mobile tours and themed routes featuring concerts, performances, exhibitions, conferences, guided tours, tastings and workshops.
Getting Around
The L’Île-d’Elle–Maillezais stage of the Vendée Vélo Tour passes through the vineyards of Vix and then into the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park. Moteur Du Bon Temps offers motorised excursions departing from Camping Ô P’tit Marais in Drapelle, 85770 Vix. Participants explore the landscapes and cultural heritage of the Vendée on mopeds. The discovery packages include a GPS device with a route preloaded for discovering the cultural heritage.
Agriculture and Wine
Prieuré La Chaume offers individual guided tours on request, lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. The estate represents organic farming (AB) and has a tourist Loire wine cellar.
