The Château de Sainte-Hermine, including the late-medieval spur tower dating from the late 13th century, was classified as a historic monument by decree of 17 February 2005. The château is a former 15th-century fortress that was rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century. Inside, it preserves furnishings and painted decorations from the early 17th century.

The Georges Clemenceau monument stands in Sainte-Hermine’s central square. The Parcours historique de Sainte-Hermine invites visitors to discover the history and cultural heritage of the municipality. A one-hour digital treasure hunt is offered by the Parcours Baludik – Les animaux fantastiques à Sainte-Hermine; the starting point is the railway station.

Routes

Nature

At Le Pré de la Smagne, visitors can observe water mint, purple loosestrife and grey wagtails, among other species. The site covers six wooded hectares with poplars, chestnut trees, willows, alders and ash trees and is a quiet, relaxing place in the heart of the town.

Market

The Marché des Halles in Sainte-Hermine takes place every Friday under the market halls from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; around twenty traders take part.
