The Ancienne école in Sainte-Florence was a former municipal public school where the Chaissac family lived from 1948 to 1961.

Following the visit, the Espace Gaston Chaissac offers an art workshop for adults and children. It is led by an educational facilitator; including the visit, it lasts 1.5 hours and requires a reservation.

Near Sainte-Florence is the Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Grainetière, a historical site. In the wider region surrounding Sainte-Florence are the Château de la Chardière, the Château des Oudairies, and the Château de Tiffauges, each a château. Nature

The Forêt domaniale de l'Herbergement covers 350 hectares and is dominated by conifers, particularly maritime pines. It has a 5 km-long footpath marked in yellow.

The “Sur les pas de Gaston Chaissac” cycle path is 11 km long and features signs indicating the places it passes through. It starts at Sainte-Florence Town Hall and can also be joined in the forest.

A 3 km-long forest avenue connects the D13 with the D137 through the Forêt domaniale de l'Herbergement.

The Sentier de l'Herbergement begins at the Route de Chauché, at the forest car park. Along this trail, hikers can discover Gaston Chaissac's latrines and the Logis de La Boulaye.
