The main shows at Puy du Fou take visitors through various historical periods and combine large-scale special effects with spectacular staging. The town itself also has notable historical landmarks: the Chapelle de la Colonne on the heights above the town centre is crowned by a tall granite column topped with a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Paths and landscape
La Balade d’Alexis is a free, 2.4-kilometre historical and interactive walk with a treasure hunt. The signposted, one-hour walk also takes visitors through Les Epesses, its history and its heritage.
The Sentier des Meuniers is an easy, 7.9-kilometre hiking trail with a stated duration of two hours. It leads to the main entrance of Puy du Fou.
At Étang de la Bretèche, a roughly three-kilometre circular path runs around the lake and is accessible year-round. In the Bois sud du Défend at Étang de la Bretèche, there are footpaths with intercommunal connections.
At Le Domaine, the Sèvre Nantaise borders Les Epesses and forms the boundary with Mallièvre there. Walks are possible from Le Domaine. There are picnic tables around Étang de l’Aujardière, and the Sentier des Trois Chênes passes through Les Epesses.
Market and swimming pool
The market in Les Epesses sells fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and dairy products. A food market is held on Place Monseigneur Bonneau on Friday mornings.
The municipal La Bretèche swimming pool has a heated pool measuring 25 by 12 metres and a paddling pool supervised by a lifeguard. La Bretèche also offers aquagym, swimming lessons and evening events.
