La Pierre Branlante de la Verrie is a large block of raw granulite that towers around 50 metres above the valley. Very strong pressure can make La Pierre Branlante rock back and forth.

The wild, steeply cut stream La Crûme makes its way between rocks, meadows and wooded banks.
Trails
The Circuit de la pierre branlante circular route passes through numerous small villages in the Vendée bocage.
The route to the Pont Romain de Crûme starts at 6 Place Abbé Léauté in Chanverrie. The route is suitable for easy, two-hour excursions by VTC or VTT.
Along the path connecting the hamlet of Le Bordage in La Gaubretière with the hamlet of La Simboursière in La Verrie, the small Pont de Crûme spans the stream.
History and Culture
The Pont de Crûme is a remnant from the Gallo-Roman period. Above La Pierre Branlante, the statue of the Sacred Heart commemorates the 1908 mission.
The Chapelle de l'Élu is a granite chapel dating from the 10th century. Its Romanesque choir dates from the 10th and 11th centuries and is the oldest part of the chapel.
The Chapelle de l'Élu is also a place of worship of private origin, where popular piety is regularly expressed.
