La Jonchère is a coastal town located 10 km from the beaches. The Moulin de la Garde is the highest point in the municipality and offers views of the surrounding church towers and, in good weather, the sea.

History and Culture
The Croix hosannière of La Jonchère dates from the 17th century. Its column has a shaft decorated with lilies, ermine motifs and an L referring to King Louis.
Construction of German bunkers began at the Moulin de la Garde site in April 1942. The site was part of a Luftwaffe radar detection and guidance station.

Vendée Kart offers electric mini F1 karts from the age of 3, as well as parent-child rides in a two-seater kart from the age of 4. The facility has four GT5 karts with steering-wheel controls; the track, car park and sanitary facilities are fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
