Culture

The altarpiece of Saint Bartholomew is a movable work of art from the 17th century and is classified as a historic monument. A Roman bridge over the Crûme dates from the Gallo-Roman period.

All the sites encountered along the „Sur les traces des Guerres de Vendée“ route are connected with the Vendée Wars.

Around La Gaubretière are the Château de Tiffauges and the Château de la Chardière, both castles. The Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Grainetière, a historic site, is also nearby. In the wider region around La Gaubretière are the Musée d'art et d'histoire, a museum, and the Jardin du Mail, a park.

Landscape

The municipality's two signposted circular trails are „du Bocage à la Crûme“, covering 18 km and taking 4 hours 30 minutes, and „sentier des coquelicots“, covering 10 km plus a 5-km variant and taking 2 or 3 hours with the variant. Both start at the top of the Landebaudière car park.

On paths and local roads in La Gaubretière, you can discover the landscape of the Vendée Bocage, pretty hamlets with stone houses, and small examples of rural heritage such as crosses, arches and wells.

Leisure

Parc de Landebaudière has a children's play area. A boules court is located next to it.

A partially shaded fitness trail was also established in the park in 2013.
