Yvré-lʼÉvêque combines historic religious buildings, places of remembrance, equestrian sports and public gardens. The municipality is home to the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau, founded in 1230 by Bérengère de Navarre, the widow of Richard Cœur de Lion.
Culture
At the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau, visitors can tour the abbey church. The Church of Saint-Germain was built in the 11th century and recently restored; its stained-glass windows and the building are illuminated. The Croix de Boëssée dates from the 16th or 17th century. The Monument d'Auvours commemorates the final battle of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870–1871.
Events and attractions
The Pôle Européen du Cheval has two covered competition arenas, four outdoor arenas and almost 500 horse stalls. Around 40 national and international competitions take place there every year. Admission to events at the Pôle Européen du Cheval is free.

The Maison de la Prairie is a conservation farm with a large vegetable garden. This vegetable garden covers 2,100 m². The Parc Jean du Bellay has an accessible fishing spot.
