The church of Tresson has been listed as a historic monument since 3 December 1969. The history of the village also includes the Priory of Tresson: it was established after Bishop Domnole donated the Villa Tricio (Tresson) to Saint-Vincent du Mans Abbey around 572–573.

Culture and History

The church of Tresson preserves a rare stone pulpit with richly carved decoration. The washhouse of Tresson was restored as rural heritage in 2012 after falling into serious disrepair. The communal washhouse is located on Rue du Lavoir at the RD13. Near Basses Poches, a dolmen is considered evidence of the very ancient settlement of Tresson.

Paths and Landscape

The Tresson-Maisoncelles discovery trail showcases the landscape and architectural heritage of the municipalities of Maisoncelles and Tresson in the form of walking routes. The Tresson-Maisoncelles discovery trail leads to the private priory at the end of Impasse du Prieuré. Shortly after the bridge over the Etangsort, the discovery trail leads along a side path to the communal washhouse.

La Vallée de l'Étangsort is designated as a moderately difficult route measuring 14.0 km in length and taking approximately three hours. La Vallée de l'Étangsort in Tresson is designated for horse riding, mountain biking, as well as walking and hiking, and includes a ford near Chemin de la Pinardière. The Via Turniacensis crosses the Tresson area.
