The La Vallée de la Sourice route begins at the car park of Surfonds’ multipurpose hall. The 10.2 km circular hiking trail passes the ruins of Bardouillière, which are designated as a viewpoint.

Part of the Natura 2000 area “Vallée du Narais, forêt de Bercé et ruisseau du Dinan” extends across Surfonds.

The Church of Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption dates from the 12th, 16th and 19th centuries and is built of stone and tuff. Its rectangular layout is probably considered a remnant of the original Romanesque church.

Inside the church in Surfonds is a stone reredos dating from 1661. The central oil painting on the reredos dates from the 17th or 18th century and depicts the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. In the transept of the church in Surfonds there is a memorial site for American soldiers who died in 1917.
