Nature
The Tourbière du Poumon vert wetland is home to kingfishers, Mercurial bluets, black woodpeckers and little owls. The Tourbière du Poumon vert is a wetland located in Oizé and a designated biodiversity corridor or biodiversity reservoir.
La Tourbière de la Fontaine du Bouchet is one of the ZNIEFF areas designated in Oizé. La Lande des Soucis is a type 1 continental ZNIEFF area and extends, among other places, across Oizé.
La Lande des Soucis is home to a very large population of Jonc squarreux (Juncus sqarrosus), a plant protected in the region. The area comprises wet heathland, coniferous stands, ponds, meadows, low heathland and paths.
Culture and History
The Église Saint-Hilaire has been classified as a Monument historique since 29 April 1994. It combines a Romanesque nave with a Gothic choir in the Plantagenet style. The church contains a 13th-century wall fresco depicting the burial of Saint Hilary, one of only two known depictions of this subject.
The former Benedictine priory of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine in Oizé has been listed as a Monument historique since 24 July 1989.
The Moulin de Boisard has been undergoing restoration since 1995; its waterwheel was replaced in 2014. It is located on the Fessard and is supplied via a millrace that diverts part of the stream from the Poumon Vert area.
The Manoir de Montaupin is located south of Oizé town centre. Montaupin was a seigneurial estate around 1342.
Today, only a few wall fragments and the main entrance remain of the Château du Boschet.
The village washhouse in Oizé was restored in the 2000s.
Today, only one of the spruce trees planted at Montaupin remains.

Oizé has four hiking trails ranging from 5 to 21 kilometres, allowing visitors to explore the surrounding area.
