The Saint-Symphorien Priory brings together several centuries of local history: it was founded in the 12th century, while the priory house was rebuilt in the first half of the 16th century. The priory is partially protected as a Monument historique; the chapel and the priory house were placed under protection by a decree dated 11 April 1995.
Culture and history
Saint-Symphorien-en-Saosnois is also a former priory of La Couture du Mans Abbey. The current walls date from the 15th century. The chapel has pointed-arch windows from the late Gothic period, and the restored chapel features an intricately crafted roof structure from the early Renaissance.
The Maison du Parc dates from the 19th century and was converted into a cultural centre and municipal library. The former grounds of the Maison du Parc are now a public garden. The local religious history also includes the organ of the Église Saint-Rémy: the parish acquired it in 1766, and it comes from Beaugé.

For walking routes, the Circuits du Prieuré comprise three circular trails of 3 km, 6 km and 9 km. They allow visitors to discover Marolles-les-Braults and the Saint-Symphorien Priory. In addition, Marolles-les-Braults has 18 km of walking paths.
The Sentier du coeur follows the route of the former Mamers–Saint-Calais railway line.
