Flée: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Flée is home to the Chapelle Sainte-Cécile, a small church dating from the 12th century. It stands on a promontory that rises 63 metres above the Loir valley and has been classified as a historic monument (Monument historique) since 21 December 1984.

Culture

Since 2001, the association « Les Amis de Sainte-Cécile » has offered a programme during the warmer months featuring concerts, group tours, exhibitions and receptions held as part of the European Heritage Days.

The Église Saint-Pierre houses 18th-century terracotta statues of Saint Gregory, Saint Peter and Saint Émerentienne. The church also preserves the tombstones of former parish priests from the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Sainte-Cécile circular hiking trail leads to the Château d'Ourne in Flée. The château is medieval in origin and was rebuilt in the 18th century.

Getting around

The 33-kilometre Voie verte between Bessé-sur-Braye and Montval-sur-Loir passes through Flée. Motorised vehicles are prohibited on it, except for vehicles authorised for maintenance, rescue or safety services.

The Voie verte running through Flée is open to pedestrians, joggers, bicycles and electric bicycles travelling at no more than 25 km/h. Where it crosses Port Gautier in the municipality of Flée, it gives cycle tourists access to the Chapelle Sainte-Cécile.

The « Bienvenue » esplanade in Flée has a children's playground, picnic tables, a boules court and a book box.
