Levaré: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The historic Grand Chemin Montois forms a wide curve between Levaré and La Dorée. This 320 km pilgrimage and hiking trail leads from Tours to Mont-Saint-Michel via Le Mans and Mayenne, connecting the tomb of Saint Martin with the shrine of the archangel.

In the Middle Ages, Levaré was one of the 13 staging towns on the Grand Chemin Montois.

The castle in Levaré features construction phases from the 11th, 16th and 18th centuries. It was partially listed as a Monument historique on 30 October 2006.

The partially protected castle complex in Levaré included moats, remains of defensive structures, a chapel and a former walled kitchen garden.
